Project description
The aim of this project was to investigate what kind of problems an average employee has while using ICT applications during work, depending on the particular skills and level of ICT knowledge of the individual. Another objective was to propose concrete improvements for ICT tools so that they are easier to user, more efficient, and used by more employees. The study was carried out through user tests and interviews.
NR's contribution
NR conducted all necessary parts of the project.
Benefit for customers
Implementing the measures proposed in the study resulted in improved applications with a higher degree of accessibility, a more inclusive working environment, easier and more efficient work processes, more satisfied employees, and fewer days lost due to illness.
Benefit for society
The study provides valuable knowledge about the universal design of ICT applications, i.e. design for all. An implementation of all proposed changes leads to a more inclusive working environment. Several other advantages include higher work process efficiency, higher degree of satisfaction among employees, and fewer sickness days.
Project results

The study shows that the ICT tools tested have a great possibility for improvement and personal adjustment. It suggests a number of concrete measures to increase the inclusiveness and accessibility of the respective applications. The project also succeeded in gaining knowledge about the problems encountered by employees when working with particular ICT applications in their working environments.
